Folktronica. I don’t think there’s a more fitting representation of this band or song than that word. Coming way out of left field, this song has managed to capture my attention for a good majority of the year for its uniqueness alone. It’s what I would expect to hear if I were to put the state of Vermont, a synthesizer, a cup of English tea, and a trash can in a blender. The UK group blends a wild array of voices, instruments and visuals to create the most surprising audible experience of 2012.
